      Hi everyone! On 6/28/23 practice, we talked about picking 4 songs, because the opportunity may come soon with Carol returning. Carol mentioned asking the assisted living center across the street to perform. AND, I just spoke with a friend who does hula, and I talked to her about being their ‘opening act’ before they perform, which is about monthly. I told her that when we are ready, perhaps we could audition for them! She loved the idea. Right now they dance hula to recorded music. I went to a recent performance, and it really did sound like something was missing–UKULELES! SO, please POST your top 4 songs to now focus on (click on REPLY to this post).

      My vote for 4 songs to perform, based on songs that we have practiced and are CLOSE to final music notation and performance quality! And songs that I think people will enjoy, with the harmonizing.

      1. I Can’t Help Falling in Love – I know that this song tends to be common and maybe overdone in ukulele circles, but I think that with the layers of harmonizing, this could be a real winner. Here’s Pentatonix vocals for this song – https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#search/pentatonix/FMfcgzGslkjZSXQMwKnzznnlpWkfqBjt?compose=GTvVlcRzDfhSBFdsTQClnVbffPhQQqtDMnrTlWzGhrqxBNkJFfFSQvTzGWzhVwKMxCqRlVqlXRVCS&projector=1

      2. Kokomo

      3. Soak Up the Sun

      4. White Sandy Beach

      ============
      My other favorites are: More Today Than Yesterday and Island Style
